Terms of use
Last updated 4 November 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Piashare, who runs Mate. By using Mate you agree to them and to the privacy policy.
1. Who can use Mate
- You must be 18 or older.
- You may have one personal account, and you must not use Mate if we have banned you before.
- You must be allowed to use Mate under the law where you live.
2. Your account and recovery code
Your account lives on your phone. Your recovery code (and your Google or LINE sign-in with PIN, if you set it up) is the only way to restore it on another phone. We can't recover an account without it, so keep it safe and don't share it.
3. Rules
Treat people with respect. You must not:
- harass, threaten, stalk, bully or intimidate anyone, or keep contacting someone who has blocked or removed you;
- share any sexual content involving minors, or try to contact a minor (see the child safety standards);
- send sexual or nude images to anyone who hasn't clearly asked for them, or share intimate images of others without their consent;
- pretend to be someone else, use other people's photos, or create fake accounts;
- scam, ask for money, advertise, sell sex or other services, or send spam;
- promote violence, hate, self-harm, terrorism, or illegal drugs or weapons;
- break the law, including Thai laws on computer crime and personal data;
- interfere with Mate, our server or other users' phones, or collect other users' data with scripts or bots.
4. Meeting in person
Mate shows people you have physically passed. Meet new people in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and leave if you feel unsafe. We don't check identities or criminal records, and we are not responsible for how other users behave.
5. Your content
You own what you send. You give the people you send it to the right to see it, and you give us the limited right to store and deliver it as described in the privacy policy. Don't send anything you don't have the right to share.
6. Reports, bans and appeals
You can report or block anyone in the app. We review reports, including any messages the reporter attaches, and may warn, limit, or ban an account. A ban stops the account from using our server and may stop the same person creating a new account. If you are banned, the app shows the reason and lets you appeal once a day. We look at every appeal and tell you the result in the app.
7. Paid features
Any paid features are sold through Google Play, under Google Play's terms and refund policy.
8. Changes and availability
We may change, pause or stop parts of Mate. We will tell you in the app before changes to these terms apply. You can stop using Mate and delete your account at any time.
9. No warranty and liability
Mate is provided as it is. As far as Thai law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for the actions of other users, or for data lost because a phone or recovery code was lost. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, and the Thai courts have jurisdiction. If the Thai and English versions differ, the Thai version applies.
